Privacy and Operational Data
Last updated: May 7, 2026
you2b works without user accounts. We process the minimum operational data needed to run the service reliably and reduce abuse.
Data We Process
- YouTube URLs submitted by users and selected download format.
- Job status, error codes, and temporary file metadata.
- Hashed or truncated IP address, user agent, request time, and approximate country or region.
- Cloudflare Turnstile results and security or rate-limit events.
- Cookies or similar identifiers used by advertising and analytics providers.
Why We Use Data
- To process download jobs and provide temporary files.
- To prevent spam, automated abuse, and excessive requests.
- To understand performance, errors, country-level usage, and advertising revenue.
- To respond to copyright complaints, legal requests, and security incidents.
Retention
Download files are temporary and are deleted after a short operational period. Operational logs and aggregated data may be retained as needed for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and daily rollups.
Third-Party Services
Cloudflare may be used for security, DNS, tunnel, Turnstile, and web analytics. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, clicks, fraud prevention, and revenue reporting.
